Tough to read between all the eye rolling. I was in the mood for a trashy book but this was so melodramatic and over the top I’m surprised I finished it at all. Sara was dangerously clueless and jumped to the most absurd conclusions, and Sarah was naive and annoying. The rogue feminism at the end hardly felt authentic when there was such an over emphasis on achieving the “American Dream”, hardly a progressive stance.

I did figure out one major plot twist, though I didn’t fit all the pieces until the end.
Though I figured out that Tommy Eagle wasn’t who he said he was, I thought that Ollie and Rachel might have been more involved. I was really disappointed that Jason’s side hustle didn’t really play a part in the plot or even get explained or connect to any higher up broad picture. It felt like a lazy plot trope to have vague shady businessmen without it going anywhere.

Overall, not what I was looking for but glad it was a quick, trashy read.
