It was fine. I really like some of Lee's other stuff, but this was just a slog. 360 pages could have easily been condensed into probably 200. His usually very vividly vulgar vocabulary seemed limited. (I swear the words "dicksnot/peckersnot" appear 200 times. It also felt like Lee just kept kind of repeating himself. Instead of moving the story forward he would just insert another rape/murder. I know that's what we're signing up for with Lee's writings, but between the pair of rednecks and the titular monster, there's easy 25-30 cases of rape/murder. And while they all have at least one new and interesting implement of torture, it just becomes very redundant.
