No attempts to be the traditional flowery haiku, just the mundane everyday life of a queer man in haiku form. I'm torn on whether or not I like how much this book is written in just plain English. I appreciate that the lack of descriptive language makes for a very counter-culture haiku moment, but at the same time, some of that flowery descriptive stuff is what makes haikus special. While these haiku are brief and humorous, they don't have that special quality I normally associate with a good haiku.
My favorites from the collection are 22, 45, 54, 91, and 107. The collection is about queerness and the frustrations that come with trying to date in the modern world, especially about the state of dating for gay men in the modern world.
