I’ve had this book on my shelf for a few years now and during lockdown I found this book on the shelf and was in my re-watch of Supernatural and couldn’t remember whether I finished this book or not, so I thought I re-read it.

This book is based on Bobby Singer. In twenty-four hours, he is going to lose his memory. So, he is writing down everything you need to know. Monsters, demons, angels, vampires, the boogeyman under your bed: Bobby has seen it, he has hunted it, he has killed it. He is not the only hunter out there, but there aren’t as many as there used to be. Not near as many as there should be. He has learned everything about every demon that walks, crawls or flies and he’s not gonna let that all be for nothing. He isn’t going down without a fight. He is not letting everything he learned disappear. So, this book is everything Bobby knows. Anything that’d be useful for Sam, Dean and the hunters that will come after he has left the earth. It's a guide to hunting, it’s a guide to him. His last will and testament.

This book felt like I had been sat across Bobby Singer himself and that he was just talking to me about his life (which I would gladly do). Bobby managed to make you feel loved and broke my heart. The way we learned about his back story and how he became a hunter. I would have loved for an alternative universe where we did see what Bobby’s memory was and how him and Karen would have been if she didn’t get killed. Even though his book is a little bit of information overload due to everything being explained, there is still the storyline that made you want to read on to find out if Bobby does lose his memories.

This book is perfect for any supernatural fan, and I loved it and this book makes me want to re-watch supernatural . . . again.
