Finally, something in this collection I liked! This story is an interesting speculative look at what genetic manipulation and IVF could become...and a cautionary tale as to why it shouldn't. There are also conspiracy aspects I love and could fully see happening today, which makes the narrative both terrifying and exciting.
There are still some obvious problems with it: unanswered questions that could be interpreted as plot holes, David Harbour's clunky narration (that gets better as the plot picks up, though), and an overall "so what?" kind of feeling the ending leaves you with. I wish there had been more to the story but this is the first in the collection that actually had some kind of resolution where the payoff to the conflict was a solid reward to the buildup of the conflict.
This one is definitely worth the listen.

Definitely my least favourite in this collection. Again I liked the idea, but the execution wasnt there. Didnt even make me think after, it just ended...
This one felt unfinished to me. There were also bits of that I didn’t understand the context of or what the author was trying to communicate.
3.5/5 stars
Not much to say, but I enjoyed You Have Arrived at Your Destination. Felt like watching an episode of Black Mirror. It's interesting to consider a future in which people will have much more control over the outcomes of their pregnancies- but is it worth playing it safe, or should you take the risks?

A quick, exciting peek into humanity and our future. A thoughtful prose on regret and opportunity, in an accessible existentialist overview. Super fun reading. Snappy and poignant.
It reminded me of a The Twilight Zone episode.
The premise is great but I feel like the ending was out of place with the rest of the story.
