The flashback at the beginning helped me understand what was going on a little better, so that was good (not that it wasn't still a bit confusing). There sure are a lot or characters in this series, though, and a lot of them look similar, so I sometimes have a hard time figuring out who is who. I still don't fully understand the reasons behind everything going on, and I wish they would stop repeating the whole "is this really Nakbin or not" bit. But there's still enough to the story here to keep me reading.

Finally! The story makes more sense now! Why the Emperor is such a scheming jerk, and Nakbin such a manipulative witch. And the back story of Habaek's parents and their friendship with Shin Nong is really inspiring, the respect they had for each other despite the truth that Habaek is a threat to Shin Nong's authority in the Realm of Gods is something to look forward to. Questions like, Will Habaek meet his father again? When he meets Shin Nong, will they be enemies like what the Emperor anticipated? are running in my head. I just appreciate the help Habaek receives from his friends even against the Emperor, and how they support him about Soah (excluding Mura. lol). I am really excited what will happen next!

Not to sound like a broken record--well, you know what? I won't. Anyway, I think this is one of the more comprehensive-ish volumes. Ish. I do kind of get tired of the dun dun duns with "Nakbin" or Nakbin. Like, can we be done with her already?

Once again, it's gorgeous and I have no idea what's going on.
