Thom is a Political Strategist & a Workaholic. Clay is the out and proud IT coworker.

The two join forces and “fake date” to bolster their careers while working on the campaign win for the boss (governor running for president).

Through the “fake” dating Thom goes through his gay awakening and actually embraces it. And even though Thom & Clay (being themselves) hurt each other throughout the book - they fall in love.

Tom is what every single polisci student acts like and I thoroughly enjoyed that lil throwback to my uni years.

The candidate that they worked for acting so chaotic is also so accurate so that was also a good throwback.
