Massive, challenging and often disturbing, 2666 is one of the few books I've finished and have been tempted to just start over again immediately. I KNOW my second reading is going to be SO much richer than the first, yet at over 900 pages I can't see myself tackling it again in the near future - tempting as it is.

Im happy I pushed through and finished. Mostly very good. Obviously not highly cohesive. I can imagine someone really enjoying rereading this and connecting all the threads together.

Sin palabras, qué hermoso libro, aunque Bolaño no estuvo vivo para ver su éxitos, que alegría que sus hijos lo hayan publicado, resume y expone lo que era la literatura del chileno, su amor dual por México y Europa, su odio por lo que no podía cambiar en ambas regiones y la sutil burla de manera afectiva a sus vivencias y a los escritores de su época.
