Really 5 books. Thought Part 4 Crimes was the weakest. Parts 1 and 5 were very good, engrossing and haunting. Bolano tells a captivating story filled with interesting characters in interesting situations.

it’s my summer of big books ok!! i enjoyed the journey 2666 took me on. such a large scope but i feel like the different volumes kept me interested, wanting to know where bolaño would take me next, wondering how it was all connected. i was engaged the whole way through tbh. can’t believe this was my first bolaño
