Amazing. The narrator was so good! Such an amazing story, heart wrenching yet hopeful. Im embarrassed to admit I had no idea about the dust bowl and what farmers went through.

Felt this book was mid compared to other Kristen Hannah books until that last 50 pages really got me. I always love how she writes from the perspective of a female going through hardships and it can be really enlightening even with a depressing plot line. Also informative about the great depression I never knew about.

The last 100 pages are fantastic and easy to read in a day! The rest of the book is also great but at a slower pace.
