3.5 stars. A fun little depiction of an event illustrating Granny’s “headology”. The dialogue was generally well-written. The central conceit that people will react badly to someone who is typically stern or frightening being genuinely nice is believable and the story was about the right length, but it was not consistently engaging.

Any story with Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg deserves at least 4 stars in my book. Especially if it's a free short story. Finding this brightened up a dreary January day.

Alas, Sam, I'm done with the Witches series (except the YA novels?) You were right, I liked these a lot more than the wizard novels!

A fun little read with some insight into the lives of our favourite Ramtops witches as Granny Weatherwax freaks everyone out by being nice.

A short story based on Granny Weatherwax at the Witch Trails... and it highlights what I love about Granny Weatherwax so much
