Beautiful. A tiny book with a huge amount to say about creativity, what we value and how we partner in creation.
I really love the character of niggle and I am inspired by the scale of his ambition and vision.
Thanks Dad for the recommendation.

Leaf by Niggle is one of the most thoughtful and layered parables I’ve ever encountered. Tolkien expertly crafts an experience that is both universal and specific, allowing readers to see themselves in Niggle’s shoes without sacrificing poignant meaning.

This story prompted a strong internal dialogue for me, and I encourage anyone who appreciates the depth of Tolkien to get their hands on this little book.

This is a nice little story that will make you think about your life, how you live it and what you want to do before you die.

Not a big complicated story but packed with a lot of emotions and lessons. A true masterpiece.

I need to read it again. And think.

This one is just too sweet. It is often seen as an allegory of Tolkien’s own creative process (but how can that be when so many times Tolkien expressed his particular hatred of allegory?) and I think that is awesome. Review done.

Slow but fascinating. Niggle lingered with me.
