This was actually a cute book for Sam Mariano!!

Our MMC was definitely a bulldozer who didn’t take no for an answer and our FMC was a nice single mum who couldn’t resist him. Their relationship was actually really cute!

This book was obviously setting up for the third book in the series which I’m assuming will be about their children Parker and Landon. Landon is already a little asshole who is bullying Parker and stalking her which makes me so excited!!

I love Sam Mariano and this was not a bad book at all. I enjoyed it.
It was just short. Felt rushed and unfinished.  I would call it a novella and not book 2

While I might not have known exactly how I felt about Dare when I was reading, I did love Even if it Hurts and since I didn’t particularly feel like leaving this world when I found out about Undertow being set in it, I went ahead and started it. I’m so happy that I didn’t do my usual thing of saying I’m going to read something and then pick up a completely different book and that I stuck with Undertow because I loved it so much! I hate to compare it to Even if it Hurts as it’s a lot shorter, but I can’t help it, I loved Hayden and Gemma’s story even more than Dare and Aubrey’s. Undertow was fun and steamy, but it also tugged on my heartstrings and brought tears to my eyes too. It was sweet and special but still with a little Sam Mariano darkness thrown in. In other words — it was perfect. I had such a wonderful time reading it and I can’t wait to read Parker and Landon’s book when it comes out!

Changing it because Sam didn’t give any warning this series was all about Hannah.

- I am extremely scared to see where this series goes but I must know so I’ll be reading them.
- I was imagining Gemma as a black woman… I have no idea why… definitely not a redhead
- “turned down so relentlessly” I love that
- oh. He really loved his dead wife huh
- hm well good she’s not jealous of his dead wife. Still not a trope I like
- I like Parker.
- huh. Parker approved huh. She’s definitely the mature girl she’s said to be
- Omg maybe sally ISNT dead
- I do like a man who knows what he wants and goes for it
- I am SO excited for Parker and landing book

This was a great little novella from Sam Mariano. I honestly wish it could have been a full book because the last half of the book was rushed and had an abrupt ending. I loved how alpha the H was, but what else do you expect from Sam. I just didn't buy into him proposing to her so fast. The h didn't even want to date, yet she agreed to a proposal....

I am worried the H's wife isn't really dead though, seems fishy. I feel like their story could continue in their kids book. I am very interested in reading their book.

Not sure I would be ok moving my daughter into the same house with her bully. Can't wait to continue with Landon.

Hayden is probably the sweetest Sam Mariano hero I've read! LOL I loved him though, and I'm super fucking excited to read Parker and Landon's book! I have a feeling Landon is going to be the exact opposite of sweet.

I enjoyed this set up for the next book. Hayden is forward, frank, and quick to pull the trigger on pursing Gemma. I love that he immediately defends her honor while coaxing the time he wants out her. Out of all of her heroes, Hayden read like a gentleman.

Gemma was a loving mother. Despite, her interest in Hayden, she was still willing to walk for Parker. Yet, I’m not mad at the arrangement she allows to unfold in the end. I can’t wait for the next book.
