What in the name of everything did I just read.
It was fun, don't get me wrong! An interesting take on the haunted house trope, reminded me of AHS Murder House, Hill House, Bly Manor, those sort of stories. Funny in a dark humour kind of way, and the writing style shows that it's deliberately done rather than just cheesy. Not a single page or plot twist went where I thought it was going to go.

This book was amazing! It had me from page one and I finished it in one sitting. Creepy, shocking, and exciting to say the least. The author dedicated it to Shirley Jackson and I find that very appropriate given this book's similarity to Hill House!

Is this book good? No. Did I like it? Yes. Takes an absolute wild left turn in the last 1/4 of the book but still enjoyable despite jumping the shark.

This was a quick little haunted house book. It takes a little too long to get started, I noticed a few annoying typos, and the Damien character did not work for me but overall I had fun.
