Excellent historical romance. I especially liked the fact that both characters were POC. It lost a star because the villains were so one-dimensional I expected them to be twirling their mustaches.

A fun little romance with a strong, assertive heroine and a dashing but respectful hero. Enough history to feel authentic, but not so much as to distract from the story.
A wonderful historical romance, not only very entertaining, but also educating. I didn't know much of slavery in the 18 th century, but Mrs. Jenkins books keep giving me interesting historical lessons, packed in delightful romances. 5 stars.
