I literally am the worst at listening to recs by anyone, but when a fellow book reader mentioned she was reading this in my book group…she said “Author is TL Swan fan” she had me sold.

This is Elle’s debut novel which is shocking because it had me reeled in from the minute I started reading!

Jay Anderson is a Hollywood actor who is at the top of his career. Holly Havers is an English flight attendant. When a chance meeting happens while Jay is on Holly’s flight, the chemistry is set and the rollercoaster begins!

This would’ve been a 4 star book but I hate a miscommunication trope. The story line was cute and I love a good instant love story BUT why why why did we need to go down this rabbit hole of seeing a text message or a picture then running away from the situation. I love that Jay, MMC, never gives up on Holly, FMC, even though she keeps running away over literally nothing. I love that we get to be on the journey of healing (surface level) with them and I love a good HEA

There wasn't anything surprising about this story. I knew exactly how it was going to end. I knew exactly who was behind the break in, stalking, and envelope. Nothing surprised me. Which kinda made this story boring even though I enjoyed reading it. Jay was too good. Holly felt a little stupid to me. She overreacted for some things. Instead of communicating she jumped to conclusions and caused herself and Jay so much more pain than what was necessary. While Jay needed to open up and trust her, she really didn't make things easy for herself or him. I will definitely be continuing this series. I'm curious about Mr. X and Stefan and Matt. I want to see how it all ends. Easy story and extreme predictable, but still enjoyable.
