I liked it. Drea is a mess, though. She needs therapy. I feel for her husbands. As much as the book plays Eric off as the primary, I think Garrett is the only one who really understands Drea and really SEES her.

I surprisingly liked Drea as a lead. She was kind of half flushed out and annoying in the first three, but her background and change in this book was really quite lovely. This book was much more action heavy, which I surprisingly liked a lot (it was written really well too, which I was pleasantly surprised and grateful for because sometimes ‘genre’ authors don’t always write other types very well). I wish this didn’t have the erotica element though. I would rate it higher if it didn’t have any explicit sex scenes. They felt misplaced and wrong. You can keep the whole 5 husbands thing, because it makes sense it this world, but those scenes felt unnecessary to the plot of this story unlike the other books. This was much more action/dystopian with a splash of romance/erotica, than an erotic romance with a splash of action like the others.

Well one, the cover is misleading. Drea doesn’t look like that and there’s 5 guys. Drea is definitely a bad axx but the story just kind of seems thrown together. There was just non-stop action. The escalation of this relationship just jumps right in and didn’t feel authentic. Sophia was just dumb. And although I liked Drea, she does not make an excellent leader. Wouldn’t Garrett have known about Billy? That makes no sense. There was no love or romance.
It’s been a while since I read the previous book and I felt like we’re just thrown in with no refresher.

I really loved the plot, but it has clearly never been proofread. It's riddled with errors and sometimes even continuity errors. If it had been properly edited, this would easily be a 5 start book.

I love the Marriage Raffle series and Theirs to Defy was one of the best in the series so far!!
Drea is so closed off from everyone, and pretends to not be into men, when really she has been deceived many times and is afraid.
Although she acts tough, and she is very tough as seen in this book, she is still looking for something more.
Her men, including Eric, have been attracted to her fierce and unforgiving nature... and she proves again and again that she is more than capable.

Drea was a kickass protagonist and I found the relationship dynamics more believable considering she picked her clan. The action was also really engaging. Love this series!
