Sometimes i randomly re-read this when i miss rose and dimitri, and I LOVE THIS BOOK SM I WISH IT WAS LONGER

This serves as a good epilogue to the series. I just really liked seeing Dimitri and Rose be an actual couple.

I don’t really understand the point of the book. But it was a glimpse of their lives after the last book and it was pretty awesome to see them happy and alive.

I probably would have given it a higher ranking if my copy didn’t only have two lines of text, a space, and then two more. I read it as an ePub if you’re wondering. If you’re confused as to what this looks like, here’s an example:
“I love apples. There’s so many different varieties, growing in different regions. They make the perfect
fall fruit.”
I liked the idea of Dimitri and Rose going to go see Dimitri’s family in Baia, and I also enjoyed their adventure together. Only thing is that I wish the novella was longer.

A nice closure to the Vampire Academy series. You get to see Dimitri's family again and a little bit of action as they take out a local strigoi attacking humans. Some of the pacing was weird as this was published in a short story collection. Mead had to add details of what her vampires were and how some of the magic worked, which felt ridiculous because this story really is a epilogue to a 6 book series. Unlike some of her other stories, this one wasn't meant to be a stand alone you could read out of context. It would've been better to add it at the end of the Last Sacrifice book.
