This has the feel of a parable with fantasy elements that stacked up pretty well to The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. A good read.

I have decided to re-read the complete Chronicles of Narnia for Lent. The last time I read then I read them in Published order. This time I am reading then in chronological order. While I still found The Magician's Nephew to be a little weak especially in the beginning I feel like I enjoyed it more then I did last time. I still think the publish order is the real order but that is just me.

the christian inspiration is strong but this story is so classic and perfect. it’s simple but it’s a perfect prequel to the lion the witch and the wardrobe. i think the magician’s nephew deserves it’s own movie

Finished this with the girl, had to do the synopsis version for her but this is my third time reading it myself. Now on to The Lion, Witch & the Wardrobe.

Best Narnia book? Yes. (also in this one the Bible reference is so obvious *clown hat on*)
