great cozy read

This was such a fluffy read, while also touching on some heavier subjects of speciesism between our mmc and the different species surrounding him.

The cake, baking and cake decorating. adorable!

It was just a fun read with great humor and spice.

I wasn’t sure I’d like this book. I read more Romantasy, less contemporary or rom com books but I was looking for something a little lighter. And wow I’m glad I gave it a chance. I loved this book. For such a short book there’s tons of world building and character development. The right amount of spice to story line. Honestly wish it was longer!

I liked this. I really liked this. I appreciated that even though Joey and Taurin were fated mates with an instant attraction, their romance was a slow burn. We really get to see their relationship develop past the initial physical attraction. Taurin is very insecure about his shifted appearance and how he's perceived by society as a Minotaur, but Joey is always in his corner and defends him. The author has created a magical realm, where the inhabitants are flawed. However, most are willing to learn and grow as a person.

If anyone were to ask me if I know a good introduction into monster romance, I would immediately recommend this series.

Jemma's book is so engaging and so enjoyable! The writing is so wonderful and witty, I laughed so many tines. I loved Joey so much - A character that looked like me and was my age and acted like me getting the grizzly hunk of a manitour? Yes please

Can't wait to read the next book and more from Croft!

I really do love this series. I think I bought By the Horns the day after finishing By the Fae.
Cozy bite-sized fantasies that are low-stakes and just flat-out fun.
I loved watching Joey and Taurin fight their attraction for each other while working through their own issues with relationships.
Accepting yourself, flaws and all, is such a sweet and beautiful message that Jemma tells beautifully.

This is so good! I read the 2nd book in this series first, as an arc, and was absolutely in love with it. But I was worried I wouldn't like this one as much because I wasn't sure I'd be a minotaur girly.

I have since learned that I am, in fact, a minotaur girlie. Honestly, I'm probably just going to be into whatever Jemma Croft writes cause man does she know how to write some damn good sex scenes. Just wow

Overall this book is super sweet and fun. You root for nearly every single character you come across. I love this series and am so very excited for more!
