Kinsley Kincaid has quickly become my go-to author for dark taboo romance. Sutton Asylum was wild! You follow twins, Iris and Jasper (and adopted son Dex) as they navigate a hostile takeover of the asylum that they've been imprisoned in. You get death and destruction from chapter one, and it continues throughout the story, giving graphic depictions of torture and spice. This book is not for pearl clutchers or those with weak stomaches, do check triggers and brace yourself! I can't wait for Dex's story.

This book was a huge roller coaster, one that I think I could have enjoyed more if there were more description or if it had been written better.

This has a taboo version of Stonehearst Asylum vibe, and I love it! In a lot of ways, this shows exactly how people are and have been mistreated in these places. Honestly, if any of this shit happened to me, I'd do the same.๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ช๐ฉธ
๐บ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐ is a very dark book, and Kinsley wastes no time jumping right into the story from the first page. You get a mostly dual POV from twin brother & sister duo, Iris (AKA Savage or Ris), and Jasper (AKA Jasp) save for 1 chapter from Dex (AKA Dexy). The twins are completely off the rails, with good reason, but I adore them. I love how they work together and have an incredible communication bond. They may be unhinged, but at the same time, if you treat them well, they will be amicable. Contrary- wise, don't fuck with them, Dex or any other members of their family.

This book was absolutely WILD! Every time I thought it couldnโt get any more twisted it proved me wrong. Iris was an absolute Delight! Haha. The whole thing was a rollercoaster of completely unhinged chaos! From Karens to Prom night. It was a helluva story! Will more than likely read again because of Iris alone. Her inner monologue had me equally entertained and slightly scared. ๐

Twins Jasper & Iris have been warned itโs wrong to touch each other and now their parents are punishing them , they think they have the upper hand until Iris gets free and the twins turn the punishment onto them. They rule Sutton Asylum until one nurse thinks she can break them by taking what Iris cherishes thatโs the wrong move and they will all pay . I knew before starting this book would be good the twins were the perfect psychos and the spicy scenes were ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅต๐ฅต . Maybe itโs a good idea to check the triggering warnings before starting but I treat the trigger warnings like a shopping list so donโt judge me ๐คฃ๐คฃ

I highly recommend mentally preparing yourself and reading the trigger/content warnings for this book. The beginning of the book immediately starts out with family SA. This is a TABOO, REALLY DARK ROMANCE - there is twincest, both characters are completely unhinged, they are in an asylum -- how much crazy and dark can it get?!? This is Kinsley's DARKEST book, but it is so good! I honestly loved the creepy vibes, and it makes me want to visit an abandoned asylum. (Yes, I am completely insane, but I don't care ๐คฃ) I loved the twin's devotion to each other and how they are inseparable and balance each other out. This book was honestly a lot of fun to read mainly because of these two crazy twins. Iris's mind is so twisted and chaotic in the best way. This book is perfect to read during spooky season! Highly recommend reading this book if you're into taboo and unhinged characters!

The Ashford twins, Jasper and Iris, are seriously nuts! The story starts off with a flashback to when they were 15, and it shows the reason they end up in Sutton Asylum. The story then jumps to current time, and then being 19.
Iris and Jasper have โadoptedโ fellow patient Dex. Dex doesnโt talk, but to say mama in reference to Iris. These three are their own demented family. Iris and Jasper are the King and Queen of Sutton Asylum, even the aides are scared of them.
This story is so crazy, itโs amazing. Iris and Jasper are completely unhinged, and I love it! The spice in this story is so damn hot!!! If you like taboo, you must read this!
