Well if this isn’t one of the most deranged, unhinged and wild books I ever read then I don’t know what is. The Ashford Twins are demented to say the least. I enjoyed the story though! This was a book that speaks to my dark soul. Pitch black are my favorite type of reads. Check trigger warnings before reading.
Unhinged,Taboo (incest), horror erotica. It's a short crazy read. They are completely unhinged, they are in a asylum after all. Lol. I did love Dex and looking forward to his story next.

Hum.
If you are looking for an extreme dark taboo book (sort of romance) with twins, you’re in the right place.
Otherwise, look for something else.

I don’t know why but I will continue with the second book, the story about Dex. I guess I have a thing for the crazy mute type.

If you want a dark, psychotic taboo romance look no further!
Jasper and Iris are twins who are romantically involved. When their parents try to punish them for their "extracurricular" activities with each other as teenagers, they murder them. However, their mother is able to get a call out to the police before she dies and the twins are caught and sent to Sutton Asylum for the criminally insane.
Jasper and Iris are the King and Queen of Sutton Asylum. Facing life in the facility, they have nothing to lose, so they do as they please without repercussions. When two new staff come on board and try to take control of the facility and the twins, all hell breaks loose and the twins have some retribution to deliver.
This is only my second or third taboo book but I loved it! It was twisted, snarky, dark, and the twins are equally depraved and deranged. I was extremely intrigued by Dexy and wanted to learn more about his story. I loved the different POVs and diving into the character's heads. I can't wait to read Dex's story and see where it continues.

I just can't with this book. I'm fine with the triggers, it's the immaturity of the characters that makes me can not STAND them.
You would think you would feel sympathy for the twins because of their background BUT they are so self-righteous and have the whole "king and queen" of Sutton thing going on, that I honestly wanted nothing but the worst for them. Kincaid tried SO HARD to make them seem so above and beyond that while reading, I wanted them to suffer.
Even if the characters in a book are horrible, if you as the reader don't like them, then there is no way you can root for them.
Like I legit HATED Jasper and Iris.
The fact this has such a high rating and it has tropes I enjoy pisses me off frfr.
