Sutton Asylum

It might reveal something about my mental state, but I absolutely adored this book and couldn't tear myself away from it. Mention an asylum, and I'm instantly captivated, needing to dive into the story right away. This intense, forbidden, and electrifying tale had everything I crave in a novel. Sure, the characters exhibit immature behavior, which fits into the theme of "madness," but for those unfamiliar with the reality of mental institution patients. The relationship between the twins crosses many boundaries, and it could be triggering for some readers, yet the profound love they share is something many couples aspire to but rarely achieve. Despite its taboo and violent nature, I would wholeheartedly recommend this book an infinite number of times!

A little too taboo for me at this time

I love unhinged taboo books, but this was just ridiculous. It felt like the author was just trying to make things as unhinged as possible and completely forgot she was writing a book lol

I wanted to like this book more than I did. The beginning and ending were great, but I felt like there were parts in the middle that drug on and with it already being a shorter book was a let down. I found myself skimming just to find out what was going on with Dex. Truthfully, the only reason I finished the book is because of Dex. I wanted to know how it ended for him since he has his own story next.

At first I didn’t know what I was getting into. But Iris and Jasper unhingedness instantly had me hooked . Iris makes me laugh and Jasper is the very defensive of whipped. And Dex I know he has a story to tell ! I will patiently wait for book because I haven’t had enough

I flied through this book so fast. I was really happy when I got this book in the mail today and I was so excited to read it and anticipating what the book was going to be about. I liked that if felt like I was touring through Sutton Asylum and they were showing me how it gets done there. Compared to the other taboo book I have read I can really spot the differences with them. Like in this book they accepted their love for each other earlier on and the way that this book started is really unhinged but the darker part of me is glad that their parents died. And it was just pure chaos in the asylum and the spice in this book had me focused. I also thought this book was a funny unhinged. Amyways, I really liked Iris and how crazy she is and I also love how much Jasper loves rhis side of her. Well, I don’t know what liking this book says about me.

The writing style is awful. It's like a virgin who watched way to much porn wrote it. I honestly had to look to see if a woman wrote this because it was just so male gaze porn. I couldn't get any farther then like the 3rd chapter it was so bad and I'm not a DNFer.
