A great introduction to Marxism be it to its history, its foundations or relevance for the 21st century. A lot of essays were effective to explain the necessity of socialism, others not so much. Although as far as Anti-capitalist thought goes, I would start with Mark Fisher before getting into this one.

There are a couple of things less salvageable though. An unfortunately poorly aged quotation of Chavez towards the end, which in hindsight feels comical. Oh, and there was a chapter dedicated to the religious indoctrination of the american population. Yeah, even as a fellow atheist, it came across as pedantic and boorish. Saying that it was out of place is being generous.
