It was heartbreaking. I’m still confused about a lot of things because I decided to read this first but god the story… I found it boring at the beginning but it took a quick turn at the end . I can’t wait to be introduced to this world properly and meet the other characters (Dorinan :) )

I’m glad I didn’t start with this prequel when reading this series because if I did, then I likely wouldn’t have continued on with the series. I found the main character whiny and annoying, and I found the plot uninteresting until the very end. It was almost hard to finish this book.
