Absolutely wonderful writing. I found myself crying periodically while reading this book. The author, Antoine Leiris describes the first weeks after his wife was killed in the November 2015 Paris bombings. He shares his loss and also his observations of his son losing his mother at age 17 months. This book is beautiful and heartbreaking.

Много силна книга. Краят ме разплака. Заслужава си да се прочете. Въпреки че е само 80стр. в нея е събрана най-красивата история.

This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
Antoine Lerirs lost his wife during the November 13, 2015 attacks at the Bataclan Theater in Paris. This book contains brief, intimate snapshots of the days that followed. At only 129 pages, this book is many things- a way for this man to process his intense grief; a refusal to allow himself and his very young son to be consumed by hate; a reflection on how family, friends, and strangers interact with someone who has experienced profound loss; a love letter to a wife and a son.
The writing is so incredibly beautiful. Sam Taylor, who translated the book from French, did an exceptional job.
I'm a bit surprised that this book hasn't received more attention. I wouldn't have know about it had I not picked up an ARC copy from work. Please seek it out. If any friends are reading this and would like to borrow it, I'd be happy to lend it to you.
