At first, I related really heavily to the main character — lost in my 20s, wanting nothing but disassociation. I felt myself grow quite angry with her throughout the book, which I guess is the point. I wanted more recognition of her faults, a bigger development. The ending shows development for sure, but it isn’t done in a satisfying way. I’m likely to read Mosfesh’s other books though.

I understand why this book gets five star reviews, and I also understand why it gets one star reviews. There's no plot, but I still needed to know what would happen next. I feel like I need to sleep for a year too, but also I'm pretty sure I'll never sleep again.
