I really enjoyed this one. Watching Ben help Finn to get his life back together and then seeing Finn return the favor really is the story we all need. Families are messy, life is messy, but it’s okay to lean on someone, it’s okay to walk away, and it’s okay fall in love. I think we all need that reminder sometimes and this story gave it to me.

Awe Finn! He broke my heart so many times, but Ben was his steady rock the whole time. I wish this book was longer.

Incredible, beautiful, emotional with lots of feels.

This is my first book by this author and I’m beyond impressed. Very well written with compassion and sensitivity to the issues portrayed.
Finn is a flawed man who fights daily battles on a couple of fronts. He can also be grumpy but is loveable at the same time. Ben is compassionate understanding, kind and loving, and the best boyfriend ever.

The story is told from Finn’s POV only and the focus is on him completely turning his life around. The connection and chemistry he and Ben share is joy to watch as they learn and discover so much about each other. It does make the heat level turn up to high on occasion! There is no angst and it wasn’t needed, Finn had enough on his plate without anything else thrown at him. I found it very easy to connect with the characters and at times my heart was breaking for Finn, be it from his personal battles or the toxic relationship with his mother.
I highly recommend this book.

This was a great discovery, new to me author. Glad I followed up on the recommendation from a fellow MM reader. This was challenging to read, and I truly felt Finn’s pain through his addiction and family issues. Ben is a complete treasure. I loved how he helped and stood by Finn every step of the way. Great relationship development. At times it got a little bit slow, but overall a very enjoyable read. I’m definitely looking forward to Aiden’s story.

This was not a quick fluffy read. I normally read quicker, but this book had such depth and heaviness in the story line that I found myself reading much slower. That said, though, this was a lot less angst than I am making it sound. Lol Finn hit rock bottom and finally took steps to better his life. Ben was such a sweetheart. He was calm, patient, loving, supportive, and everything Finn needed to see that good can come into your life when you aren’t used to it. These guys were so great together. I enjoyed Finn’s journey to contentment and happiness.
