I saw "sapphic enemies to lovers" and knew it was my calling to read it. I enjoyed how lighthearted this book was, it's a breathe of fresh air compared to the many heartbreaking LGBTQ+ stories we usually get. I liked the contrast between a character who was a diehard romantic and one which was repelled by it. I though that this was a decent trope to fuel the "enemies to lovers" aspect.

However, in this case I think the fluff was excessive.I wanted a little more depth in Emma and Sophia's relationship (a lot of the focus fell on the straight side couples) and while I am aware that this is a YA novel, I was expecting a little more maturity. Additionally, Emma's obsession with love was such a constant throughout the novel that it practically became her only personality trait. While I related more to Sophia's character they both came off as really self absorbed. Despite this, there were times when the characters acknowledged these flaws which I really appreciated.

Overall, I was slightly dissapointed by "I Think I love You" but inherently it wasn't a terrible read. It had its sweet moments and accomplished its intent for a cute wee romance.

This book is an absolutely adorable rom-com, and if you're wanting a queer-positive light hearted love story that's a quick read, you should definitely pick this up! I really liked both main characters, Emma and Sophia, and loved the way they interacted with each other and their friend groups. I liked the plot line with the film festival and how it ended up. I liked the realizations the characters come to and the development that happened!

This was super cute!

Emma is a die-hard romantic and when she has the chance to make her ultimate Netflix rom-com with a bisexual female lead, she knows she has to do it. Sophia is a pragmatic realist. She doesn't believe in all the romantic drama, but when she returns from France she feels like she's not a part of the group anymore. She knows she has to keep her spot in the group and make this movie the best thing ever, but Emma is determined to make it a rom-com and Sophia knows that won't win. The two are at a stand-off and eventually decide to split the group and make two separate movies.

This book was so damn adorable. I loved Emma and all her squishy romantic notions from page 1. Sophia is quite the opposite, but I really loved her too. Her jaded attitude is honestly the perfect one for a rom-com. Plus when Sophia is told Emma has feelings for her, omg the change was AMAZING. Clearly, Sophia is much more than the ice queen everyone thinks she is.

While I did really like this novel, some of the set ups that happened kind of bothered me. Mainly the one between Emma's cousin and Sophia's best friend. The two clearly liked each other, but to communicate that message by pretending to be that person just doesn't sit right with me. I would use character names but I've forgotten everyone besides Emma, Sophia and the asshole Matt.

Which let's talk about Matt. This guy ugh. He really bothered me. I hated his attitude to Emma brushing off his attempt to ask her out. Like the girl was not into it and he gets MAD about it. Boy, no one OWES you attraction. And just because Emma is bisexual does not mean she will automatically like you. Move on with your life and this BS entitlement.

Both Emma and Sophia have outside problems from trying to make their little movies. Emma is trying to figure out how to come out to her parents and she's nervous of their reaction. Sophia doesn't feel like her mother truly cares since she jetted off to Paris to marry someone else after her divorce to Sophia's dad. I enjoyed seeing the two confide in each other and begin to process of working on these things.

Overall, this was just super sweet and I really loved these two characters.
