i think the message is strong and important. about how fast propaganda can spread under a powerful leader. lessons to be learned but the ppl who need it won’t read it.
and david gets too much credit for being a negater when it was laurie all along and david at the last third after he physically harmed laurie

Also die Story an sich fand ich gut, aber weil die auf einer wahren Begebenheit beruht und der Schreibstil schlecht war, verstehe ich nicht, wieso dieses Buch angeblich so toll sein soll. Da hätte man belletristisch deutlich mehr rausholen können, sowohl vom Pacing als auch im Bezug auf Erzählperspektiven. Fand ich nicht beeindruckend.

The writing itself I found somewhat stilted and low-quality, and I would have appreciated if this weren’t a dramatized account, since now I don’t know what truly did and did not occur. On the whole I still found it an interesting read, though, and it’s short enough that the writing is bearable
