3.5 stars. Interesting look into the world of women’s sports and competitive running in particular. Takes on important issues around disordered eating and pressure around body type.

Great read about women in sports, I especially enjoyed the first part where author dives into highschool and college sports and differences between men v women.

Beautiful, informative, poignant, honest, authentic, inspiring. Not going to lie, I cried more than once. Thank you Lauren for, once again, showing up in this world in a real, and deeply respectable, manner. We are lucky to have you.

I loved this book. I was so moved by her story and research. A must-read for anyone. I was tempted to write for anyone who cares about sport, or women, etc. but honestly it’s a must-read for anyone. The chances of us being personally impacted or knowing someone who will be impacted by the potholes and screwed up policies Lauren details is high.
