I haven't done an MBA. But i think i can say with confidence, that this book will pretty much, give you everything you need to get you started to the business world.
About a year ago, i changed my professional role from software engineer to business ops, and most of the things i've been doing so far, are included in this book.
This book is a MUST READ, regardless if you want to do or currently doing an MBA.

A glossary of 250 business terms and fashionable mental models, all pretty basic but collected together in one place. The kindle edition really shortchanges itself by not linking between the terms where they are cross referenced.

I liked the book's easily-digestible format, but I didn't find it terribly useful overall. Worth the read, though.

Some of the concepts are basic, but it is a good book as a refresher or to go over things you may not have studied in business school. I will be keeping this book for reference and to review some of the topics when needed.

Great book! The chapters are just long enough to capture the topic but not so long that you get bored and stop reading all together.

My favorite chapters were the first 5 as they were the topics I knew the least about. The remaining chapters were equally good but they were things I either learned from reading HBR and INC articles or on the job.

Absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to get an introduction to business concepts before diving head first into any one area.

This should be read by any MBA interested person. The starting base for years of reading and learning.

This book serves as an overview of many business basics, including sales, marketing, finance, psychology, and systems. You can think of the book as a "survey course". For detailed treatment of any of the topics, you really need to read the books on the Personal MBA list.

Overall this book wasn't a waste of time, but I was already familiar with many of the topics from my reading about influencing and consulting; and Kaufman takes lots of ideas from Lean and Agile, so some of his writing was far less revolutionary to me than I imagine it would be to people in a different industry.

A lot of buzzwords, but in the end, very, very shallow. It touches a lot of areas, but very superficially. I like the idea, I also feel MBAs are overrated, but this is just useless sincerely.
