I want to start this review by saying how greatful I am for winning this book through a story graph giveaway. however I absolutely hated this book.
While I have not red the first part of this book the disclaimer at the start stated that it was designed to be read as a standalone, so I'm not sure if my experience reading this is related to poor writing from the author or from not reading the first one.
I found all the characters to be so dull that there was no changes nor descriptions of the changes so I found half my time reading flicking between the character sheet to figure out ages ect.
There was no world building, no storyline and the whole book to me was confusing, however I did read this on night shift.
Overall I doubt I will be reading from this author again, only rating it 0.25 stars because I won it, if I brought it, it would have been a DNF
