An interesting read with challenging subject matter, demonstrating that sometimes there are no right or wrong answers and that sometimes we are just trying our best.

A very topical read.

Every once in a while comes a book that captures the mood of the world. When you have two best friends who are the epitome of opposites attract and the question of when does personal choice end and social responsibility start?

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the jumps between the past and the present, with the courthouse scenes being just long enough to add intrigue and show both sides of the vaccine story. I would have liked a less appeasing ending but can understand the author not wanting to come down too heavy on either side of the debate.

The writing was strong and the characters were well written. I think this book will promote big discussions in book clubs around the world.

Thank you to @tandemcollective for my copy for your readalong.

Incredible depiction of vulnerability. The writing was pretty average, but the topic is so interesting it doesn’t matter. I never cry when reading,
but the end where the kids run to Elizabeth made me bawl
