Wonderfully unwoven tapestry of a tale. Flavored with plot twists, generational trauma, and a mystery left unsolved until the very end, The Daughters of Foxcote Manor is impossible to put down.

Featuring three different female protagonists, all somehow the victim in their own story, never willingly changing or growing as people despite decades passing.

Nice descriptions of the forest and trees.

This book flew by so fast and yet it somehow felt like a slow burn at the same time. Nothing was rushed in the storytelling and we really got to know the characters and the landscape of the story. The reveals were so well planted that they felt natural and I love how everything was woven together.

This would have been five stars except that I feel like Eve Chase was so keen to tie as many plot points and characters together as possible that it went too far and I couldn't quite suspend my disbelief.
Caroline being Helen/Hera's biological sister felt like a step too far and an unnecessary additional family tie. The odds of Sylvie and Hera's kids finding each other and bringing everyone together again were slim but believable enough for me to be satisfied without the extra 'gotcha' plot twist

Erm wow I loved this! Just so good, I loved the characters, the mystery, and they way it all came together in the end was just brilliant. It seems I just really like reading about unstable mothers and their tragic families
