Really cute story about some lost souls finding love in an unexpected way. I liked the characters and I couldn’t put the book down. It was a perfect beach read.

Twisted Games but reverse the genders.

Long review (with spoilers) -

Hannah works for a security company and is assigned to be a bodyguard for Jack, who is a very famous actor. The book starts off pretty average. It’s not a page turner but not boring either. It turns into a fake dating situation because of Jack’s cancer-ridden mom calling his “girlfriend” to a family trip as her last wish. It’s also sort of like enemies to lovers, they have a cute banter. Jack is a sweet MMC. It was surprisingly having my attention till the end of the book. This book made me feel something that no book has done. It made me go through waves of liking a chapter, then not, then liking and then not. It had a bit of miscommunication trope and also a bit of questionable things that Jack did or said to Hannah to make her feel bad about herself. But I think the hostage scene made me hike up the rating a little bit in the end.
funny lighthearted fast-paced
