I was really vibing with the final 30-20%. It was just a cute and cozy read. Jack’s parents were so wholesome and lovely. I loved the Thanksgiving they threw and how they claimed Hannah as “our Hannah”.
The epilogue was so so. I think it could have just ended and I would have felt the same amount of satisfaction from the book. Like it was fine to be in and it could also have been not included.

Honestly, this one started off tough for me. the dead mom is not something that I like in books, but I thought that it was well done so I don't have too many complaints about it. I also really like that she was the bodyguard- it was not what I was expecting which I think is a lovely change and I love the idea that it's not dependent on gender or size and I appreciate how much work she puts into her job.
My only real complaint about this book is how often the characters are juts CRUEL to her. like girl! stand up for yourself! I just don't understand how people walk all over her or how often the author seems like totally fine having her called ugly and boring and stuff like I could never lol. maybe that makes them a better author than me but it made me really sad.
anyway, I liked it! I thought that there were moments where the author was making fun of other romance tropes and I really enjoyed that (the boobing boobs) and I thought that it was such a beautiful change to have the amazing outcome with the stalker and just the humor was really good. I was't sure about the narration at first but in the end of it, I enjoyed it.

Ik vond dit echt niets. Uitgelezen omdat ik reserve sta voor de boekenclubavond, maar eigenlijk zonde van mijn tijd.
Ik vond dit echt flut. Ik kan ook niets met de trope, en de personages kwamen niet uit de verf voor mij.
De diepere lessen die er in zaten vond ik geforceerd, en ze werden meer uitgelegd dan dat ik ze ervaarden. Zeker aan het eind werd er gewoon zoveel gezegd in plaats van dat ik het zag, ook zeker de epiloog.
Goede herinnering dat dit inderdaad niet mijn type boek is.
