I appreciate the wide ranging topics covered in Legacy : Natural History of Ontario -- whether one's interest is plants, animals, geology, or weather, one will find something of interest. The short chapters are informative without being dry, and most contain accompanying photos -- the content is valuable and well presented. My criticisms of this book are only that at this point, some of the language is very dated -- language used to refer to Indigenous peoples ('Indians') and humanity ('man') to name a few -- and some of the photos seem to be of taxidermy rather than living animals.
