What a delightful story, full of heartwarming but also heartbreaking moments it made me so happy upon finishing the book.

Hollie has a devastating past, losing her family within the space of a year will she ever be able to move on? Jake too has horror in his past, losing his parents in awful scenarios is something he still blames himself for. Can his heart ever heal? The two characters have both suffered such tremendous loss and reading about their trials brought many a tear to my eye. However as the story progresses we find that there could be a way to mend a broken heart if only you can learn to dance in the rain.

I love the descriptions of the cafe, I could fully envison it when reading. I myself would love to visit for one of Hollies famous scones and a view of the sea!

I love all of Jessica's books and this was no exception. I look forward to reading the sequel ahead of my book tour!

A delightful story of two beautiful but tragedy affected individuals who find love and work for it even though it may not be easy… and a shared dog.

This was one of those books I became mad at occasionally and therefore had to force myself through a few sections. Life can be so unfair, sometimes, and I think because I was having struggles of my own while reading this, I was less able to handle the struggles of the characters than I usually would have been. But the intrinsic story is quite delightful, really, so I wanted to work on it - as the characters worked on themselves and each other to gradually reach perfection.

The storyline is quite believable, and this made it easier to read through. There were a couple of factual errors and errors of logic which could have been eliminated with better research, but they don’t take away from the story particularly.

If you love a clean, slow-burning romance (ie high sexual tension!), I think you will enjoy this. If you need to read simple, peppy stories where everything goes right and the world is sunshine and rainbow unicorns, you may not appreciate this story as much. I did like it and will probably read the book again one day, although I am probably not going to continue with the series, so I rated this story 4 stars.

Solid four stars for Snowflakes Over the Starfish Cafe. I picked this book up on a whim for something cute to read and it didn’t disappoint!

Jake and Hollie both have traumatic pasts revolving around losing their family members close to the holidays. A cute little dog named Mr. Pickles crosses their paths, bringing them together as they slowly start to heal their open wounds from years past, showing that they may have been destined to meet all along.

This store is a cute, Hallmark-esque feel-good for the holidays that’s definitely worth taking a read. Redland does a WONDERFUL job and weaving their background of both Hollie and Jake into the story so we’re left wondering just long enough before she gives us what we want to know.

There were parts where Hollie’s writing seems to be redundant about her processing her trauma, but in all a lovely read!

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another brilliant book from Jessica.

Hollie inherits The Starfish Cafe from her mom and has kept as many of her mom’s traditions as she can. She is still grieving the loss and of her family following a accident at sea and doesn’t want to let anyone get close.
Jake finds a dog wandering around on the beach and ends up in her cafe to see if she knows who the dogs owner is. The dogs owner has recently gone into a care home and can no longer look after him and her family decide they don’t want him either so Jake and Hollie decide to share ownership of the dog between Jake’s shifts as a nurse and the cafe.
There friendship blossoms slowly and they find themselves falling for each other. Can they put all the hurt from the past behind them and move forward together or will the past break them apart.

This was an extremely sad book.  Why is it a Christmas book.  It made my cry and gave me butterflies but the sadness was way more than the happiness. I literally can't rate it.

This is a wonderful book. I loved the hedgehog hollo series so was a bit nervous about trying any new titles seperate from that series of books due to the high standared that was set with it, i can however say i was not disappointed and this book was just as good. Jake and Hollie had lots to overcome. It was clear early in the book when they met that they were meant to be. The author handled the sensitive subject matter with care and compassion and who better than a furry friend to be a major part of the healing process. I am looking forward to getting to know the characters better as the series progresses. This author has hooked me in now and i can truly say i am a fan.
