The pigeon is still one of my all time favorite characters. The fact that we know what to expect for the end in no way detracts from the enormous enjoyment of getting there.
Pigeon books always make me laugh and this one's no exception.
Grandkids love this book! We all do! Mo Willems has such a gift for storytelling!
Still very funny, this one is just lacking the spark of the others.
funny
fast-paced
YES! Great fun! I really need to hear Mo read one of his pigeon books so that i can hear what Pigeon is supposed to sound like. I wish I could do a better read-aloud of his guy. Anyway, he's so stinky that even the flies think he stinks--awesome. Kids loved it and I got the "read it again!" request. C really liked the page that was FILLED in comic-book fashion. Great ending. Love.
I love books that engage their young readers, books that allow children to interact with the characters. This book (our first experience with Mo Willems) has the perfect blend of interaction, sass and goofiness that appeals to a 3 year old. My son loves it and we've read it every single night ever since borrowing it from our local library. I see a lot more of this pigeon in our future!
I will always love the pigeon, but nothing will ever be as good as the first one Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! I would bring this book home to read to my bath hating child, but she is old enough to be outraged by my offering a picture book!
The pigeon has a lot of reasons why he doesn't need to take a bath.

The Pigeon Needs a Bath! goes even further into the classic Pigeon books by Mo Willems. At the beginning of the story, the Pigeon is sure that he doesn’t need a bath. He is set against taking a bath, but by the end of the text, he enjoys his bath time and doesn’t want to get out!
My practicum students are obsessed with the Pigeon books, and I gave this book to my class on my last day. We read it aloud in the afternoon, and we had some good laughs together about the silly Pigeon. The book is brand new this month, so my students were thrilled to have such a novelty book in their possession.

Just when I thought he had gone to the Pigeon well too many times Willems puts out a great one.
