I’m just not connecting to anything in this book. I was hoping for a little more turmoil with this forbidden relationship but the angst is nonexistent and that’s disappointing.

I hardly ever do this... but this book was just so bad. I really wanted to like it. I have to say that by 20% I had almost DNFed the book 3 times. In fact the only reason I didn’t was because of a book discussion I wanted to be a part of selected this book.

I love a good taboo romance. I love a good bad boy, as well as a million other tropes. This book had a million cliches. Plus the language was ridiculous.

What grown ass woman uses the words Sweet, dork, and Oh My Gawd (yes literally spelled like that). The H talked like a 12 year old girl. Not only that- the president of a bad ass MC said things like “you’re such a dork”

Not to mention the extreme overuse of Kings “babe”.
