I've really enjoyed second chance romance lately and while this one was a bit juvenile as these 2 were childhood friends and things imploded in high school and fast forward 9 years later they still seem to be stuck in a slight high school mentality, I did enjoy it. They both made me mad at points with them (mainly Rosie) just not saying everything needed, it was interesting to have the dual timeline chapters in there. Interested to read the spring book in this series.
3.5✨—I really enjoyed this (even if I was occasionally annoyed at the MC’s inability to be open and honest with each other). Our hero and heroine are childhood besties who’ve basically loved each other since she moved in next door. Then she goes far away for college, they both do and say hurtful things, and they don’t speak for almost a decade. Read for: wintry vibes, meddling mothers, dual POV, Latinx rep, open door steam, and a hard-fought HEA. I also loved the flashback scenes to their adolescence, which really deepen the reader’s understanding of the characters and how their pasts impact who they’ve become and the decisions they’ve made.

Caroline Frank does it again! Such a heartwarming, hilarious read that made me fall in love with the characters immediately. I resonated so much with the plot that it brought me to tears by the end and I was rooting so hard for the characters. A must-read!

The 2023 holiday reads are off to an AMAZING start! Second Chance Snowmance from @carolinefrankwrites is full of stolen steamy moments, fun banter, family, and friends. Both Asher and Rosie are delightfully awkward when the reconnect at the airport and their chemistry is undeniable from the start. Thanks to the dual timeline we get a glimpse of their childhood neighbors turned best friends relationship and the incredible support they were for each other. We also get glimpses into the separate lives and successes that they’ve found in the 10 years they’ve been apart. Thanks to a pair of meddling moms, the two are forced together repeatedly and given the opportunity to apologize, talk, and reconnect. But, now that they have a chance to be together again, the fears and insecurities that broke both of their hearts is primed to do it again. Thankfully, Rosie and Asher both have supportive friends and family to help them navigate things and especially for Rosie, deliver the hard truths she needs to face.
