One of the most boring and anti-climatic books I've ever read. I've read this and The Fault in Our Stars by this author and I was so disappointed. I may try Looking For Alaska at some point. I've heard it's much better. Just have to get over this disappointment first.

let me just say, that was boring, uninteresting story.
Too much nonsense talk, less exciting action.
The book was definitely not for me.

I honestly expected worse. This book is about a prodigy boy going on a roadtrip with his best friend. The boy in question is self-centered, narcissistic and incredibly boring. The most interesting thing about him is that he dated way too many girls named Katherine. I really disliked the way the story told us about his relationships, it felt like filler inbetween the storyline. It would cut from surprisingly exciting hunting scenes to his first awkward kiss with an eight-year-old. Halfway through, the story in the present moment was pretty good and I really liked Lindsey as a character. The writing in the book is average, worse than I expected from John Green. Overall, a 3/5.

Been wanting to read a John Green book for a while now.

This wasn't as good as the others that I have read and re-read but it mildly served a vibe of a light read. The reason I said mildly was because this book contains alot and I mean A LOT of maths, graphs and anecdotes and gives the reader and insight as to how exactly the mind of a child prodigy works.

An Abundance of Katherines is centered around child prodigy Colin Singleton who's dream is to be a genius, who has an unlikely talent and zero luck in the romance department for he is only drawn to girls with the name of Katherine and has been on the dumping end 19 times.

Fuelled by the need to cheer Colin up; we see his extremely religious best friend- who is also the comedic relief- coax him into taking a road trip to "find himself"

Halfway through said trip they meet Lindsey Lee Wells and her pink loving mother who knows Colin from his child prodigy days.

This book brings alight several life lessons like how important it is to prioritize yourself when following your dreams, how important it is to have plan for the future no matter what it is and most importantly to be honest to yourself.

All in all; setting aside the fact that it didn't meet my John Green standards- it was a okay read and I'm glad I strayed from my TBR for this.

An Abundance of Katherines is a story of a child prodigy who really isn't a prodigy anymore... This is a really funny story that made me laugh but it was a also very adventurous which made me want to keep reading it all night. The main character, Colin, was a child prodigy but when you are really smart at age 3 youre only average smart at age 18. In this story he had dated 19 girls all named Katherine in high school. They all had a different story to them and this story is just really fun and interesting. Its really different and I would recommend it to everyone.

I was really excited to read this, I was so hoping that I would love it. Sadly I didn't, I actually had a really hard time finishing it.

An Abundance of Katherines is about a boy named Colin, who has dated 19 girls, all named Katherine. But when K-19 dumps him again him and his best friend set off on a road trip, ending up in Gunshot TN. Trying to get over the break-up Colin comes up with a to predict theorem how long the relationship will last. But can he get it to work? Or he destined to keep repeating his past.

The things I did not like:
1. Colin; I found him to be very whinny and annoying
2. How the entire book felt like a text book with all the footbnotes
3. Katherines
4. Anagrams
5. How stuff just seemed to happen, how at times there seemed to be no transition from on scene to the next
6. The cave
Spoiler I did not know they were about to kiss till the like the next chapter, both of the cave scenes made me mad, i get it its dark and can't see anything, but Colin does have a brain so why couldn't we have know what was happening by his thoughts?

Things I did like:
1. How it did have some funny parts, there were times when I couldn't stop laughing
2. The concept and idea of the story, just wish was a little better executed
