Enjoyable, emotional and occasionally funny. I picked this up on premise alone and found I had a pretty good time. While there were parts that I thought could have been more thoroughly developed to have a bigger impact, the presentation of chronic illness and mental health was surprisingly profound. There are some quotes I think I'll come back to.

Gosh, this hit hard. Chronic illness, love and lusting, loss and grief, mental health, and being a woman in pain fighting to be heard. Not an easy read, but one that resonated.

If you enjoyed “My Year of Rest and Relaxation,” you will enjoy this. According to all the tests, they cannot figure out what is medically wrong with Vita that keeps her house-bound and grappling in The Pit. Told from Vita’s perspective, we get a little story that weaves throughout space and time, ghost encounters, and things that make you think - did that happen? Pretty early on, you can tell she’s not confronting something from her past, and it’s finally caught up to her.
