I really, really enjoyed this book<3
I feel like it was not quiet as good as Legend but since this is the first book in a high fantasy trilogy I think it might get even better in the next books. I am very interrested in the characters, especially in this new Maeve: CAN WE GET SOME MORE OF HER!?
Overall this series have so much potentional and I am so excited for the next books!

OMG, I LOVE THIS BOOK! I Adelina has become one of my favorite girl main character I have read yet. And so what shes a bad guy, she's got a reason to because she's been through so much crap and people always say they won't but stab you in the back just seconds later and how she was used. I also have to say that I relate to her in SO MANY LEVELS like how she's been used by everyone and everyone she loved and thought that cared about her. It just ugghhh! I'm happy I read this book in my life cause I need some motivation in my life right now since I'm going through a lot right now and this. This just made it a whole lot easier and made me feel like I should go punch everyone that's treated me like crap. So yeah, this is probably gonna be one of my favorite books of 2020 so yay! Oh and Enzo, he is my crush and he's the first crush I have had with a book character so Enzo should be honored by that.

I really didnt like it

I loveed legend so i had pretty high hopes that id enjoy this series too. But i really really didnt.

I didnt emotionally connect to any character, in fact i really didnt like any characters. The main character was unlikeable, and i guess as more of a villain than hero it makes sense, but still, she was just unlikeable.

All the characters were written so blandly in my opinion. I honestly just didnt care for the story. Gladly, its a short book so i managed to push myself through and finish it.

I feel like this story was executed poorly, and written poorly, especially compared to legend, which is a book ill continue to reread.

Im just glad i didnt end up buying the whole series, and wasting my money and time because im not going to continue with it. There’s just better books out there.

The only scenes i enjoyed were her childhood memory flashbacks. Apart from that, i didnt care for anything else.

When I was halfway through this, I thought I would either DNF/not finish it or rate it two-three stars. I was utterly bored of the events. I mean...I love romance, but it felt a little unnecessary here. Despite all that, the book redeemed itself by having an interesting ending and epilogue. So, I'll read the second book soon.

I have a love-hate relationship with this book. I loved how it was written, it was very different from the usual stories I've read. I hated how it ended though, I felt sad when Enzo died and how Adelina was the one who did it. But if there will be a sequel to this, I will surely read and I hope that Adelina will find someone who would actually love her for real.
