This is my first book by this author and wont be my last.

Logan Furrow had a grizzly bear inside of him that was broken because of the choices the human side made. He was looking for someone to put him down when his previous Alpha couldn't go through with keeping his promise. Logan went to apply to be a part of the Blackwing Crew where he met the beautiful, curvy and sassy panther shifter, Winter. There was this deep pull between Logan and Winter that the former found very intriguing and terrifying at the same time.

Winter Donovan, a Panther shifter who was a city shifter, but things went wrong then she found herself in a dark place until she went to the Red Havoc Crew. Technically she wasn't a member, just stayed there because she didn't know where else to go. She was in love with Brody but the man betrayed her when he strayed leaving her heartbroken and feeling like she didn't belong. Even the Alpha of the Havoc Crew, Benson Saber knew that she stayed out of loyalty. He gave her an opportunity to find a place where she could find what she seeked and/or needed.

Winter made her way to Smoky Mountains where Dark Kane and his mate, Rowan Barnett were looking for new members to be a part of their Blackwing Crew. On her arrival, she met some very interesting shifters especially a bear shifter by the name of Logan.

Can't wait to read Dustin's story next!

"You just have to find one whose crazy matches yours."

By now I should just expect myself to fall in love with whatever shifter each book is about. T.S. Joyce just has a way of making the perfect alpha male with broken bears and back stories that will tug of your heart strings. I just wanted to reach in to the pages and huge both Logan and Winter.

"She didn't need some broken man to be her make-shift hero. And besides, he was too damn dark to be anyone's hero. He was a nightmare instead."

Blackwing Defender

My only problem with this book is that it was too short. I loved the characters and would have liked them to have been a little more fleshed out. I look forward to the next one.

I love love loved this book! This is only my second book from TS Joyce and I can’t imagine where she has been all my shifter reading life!

I absolutely loved finding out how this group got together. I read the last book first and enjoyed it so much that I decided to read about the rest of the crew. First off Logan?!? OMG! This poor guy! But WOW! He is an amazing character! Then add in Winter and this is a bang up couple!

I loved the whole idea of these character coming together. Getting to meet them and see how they play off each other and their anger, frustration and attitudes.

I can not wait for Dustin’s story. I’m sure it will be somewhat tragic as well but I love how strong these characters become! Next please!!

Yes this is an instalove story (duh. shifter.) but you have to understand how DEEPLY I love love stories where two damaged people save each other. I can't help it.

DAMON’S MOUNTAINS SERIES REVIEW

I wasn’t planning on reviewing these books at all, but given the fact that I’ve been completely OBSESSED with them for the past month, it feels wrong not to write something. So in the end I decided to write a general series-wide review that I’ll put up on each book because that’s how much fun I’ve had reading these.

Let’s do this.

OKAY listen. These books are straight up trash. They are. Romance drama trash to the max. But there’s no denying how freaking entertaining these things are. They’re hilariously funny, extremely cute, filled with action (some more than others), and packed with grade-A soap opera drama. Some of the novels are better than others, but if you need to go brainless for a while and just read something fun, these are the books you need.

All the characters are out-of-this world awesome, but the real thing that sets this series apart is the world building. Joyce has created such an elaborately rich universe with all these characters and I am 100% here for it. I love love love how everything overlaps and that we get to see all of our favorite characters even long after their books are done.

To help keep everyone straight, I even created a family tree spreadsheet like a NERD (Willa would be so proud) which you can view here. Just beware of spoilers.

Nerd alert!

FINAL WORD

These books are insane trash and I’ve loved every second. If you’re needing some laughs and romance, look no farther my friends. It’s worth the Amazon Kindle Unlimited free trial just to get your hands on these.

Excellent, as always. Sometimes I feel like T.S. Joyce's books couldn't keep being so good when she spits out so many of them. (I think she's now up to 65.) Then I read one of her newest offerings and realize it's her best story yet. Such a treat!
