The story is basically about a teenage girl who doesn’t know who her father is. She thinks her mother and grandmother are lying to her, when they tell her that she is the daughter of a firefly – and who wouldn’t. She struggles with her identity and anger towards her mother who she feels refuses to tell the truth. Along the way she meet a girls and they kind of becomes friends. If I say any more I will spoil the story.

The story is told from the point of view of our protagonist (I can’t find her name, she might not be named). And there is definitely something weird going on there. Lights humming to her, blinking out etc. I got the feeling that she might be the daughter of a fairy somehow, but it is never confirmed or denied. It is the kind of story that will leave you without any answers quite deliberately. The story gets quite confusing at times because the PoV character is confused and a bit drunk. I am not quite sure how I feel about the story, but I did not dislike it.
