Informative. Not too many pictures, which wasn't bad. The book serves as a introduction to gender studies including transgender and non-binary identities, feminism and hegemonic masculinity. Good entry point to this topic for all ages and appropriate for children as has no sexual content. Intelligent, sensitive and thoughtful, very balanced in it's depiction of men and women and delivers an explanation on the patriarchal system for those who don't understand. Sensitive in how it deals with race, religion and nationality, felt a bit preachy and hard to get through when discussing feminism because it's only a surface dive and doesn't go into the defense and insecurity women have as a response to being subjugated, but this is not the book for that. Overall quite informative but not too challenging for those already familiar with gender topics.
