I have to admit, it did take me a while to get into this book. But when I did, wow! Such complex characters, such brilliant writing. I am ready for the next book.

2016 review:

I'm dead. It was a good idea to wait until closer to the release date of Crooked Kingdom to read this, because I'm not sure if I could stand to wait a lot more than a month.

So thankful for my book friends for encouraging me to read this! I rarely read fantasy because I find myself often lost in the world-building. That’s why I’m so happy this worked for me and I was so invested in story and the main characters. Now, on to the next book in the duology!

19.03.2023 : I love this book, there is nothing I don‘t like. The crows mean everything to me and I would be devastated if we don‘t get a soc spin-off (netflix show)
