I will admit that I'm surprised that I enjoyed this one. The reason I'm surprised is that this author had a book, Living in Zin, in the destination daddy series that I pretty much hated. It wasn't good and I was hesitant to read this one. But it came recommended from Reese Morrison and you should all know how I feel about them by now so I decided to go for it. This is the first book in season 2 of Naughty or Nice and it is centered around a kinky dating app that does a holiday special where doms can write letters to Santa about what their perfect submissive looks like.

Anyway it is a book with own voices trans rep. The daddy, Everett, Is recovering from a bad divorce and one in which he jumped into very quickly and so he's determined to have a one night stand and not get attached right away. He is having a bisexual awakening and his one night stand is a guy named Morgan. Even though he feels a super intense connection to him he is determined to not make the same mistakes and so he sends the boy away and immediately regrets it. In order to get over him, he writes a letter to Santa and starts an online relationship with a sub who is looking for a daddy. They do not exchange names and not so spoiler alert it's the same boy he had a one night stand with.

I think if missed communication is a trope that you don't enjoy, you're not going to like this one because there is some things that could have been easily avoided if either of the characters had communicated a little bit better, but as a whole it was enjoyable. Morgan is trans and he has some body dysmorphia especially in what he is comfortable telling potential partners right off the bat. He too felt especially emotionally connected to Everett during their one night stand and was really hurt that he sent him away afterwards. He then gets pretty confused when he develops another deep connection online but is scared to out himself as trans in case the daddy is a piece of shit.

This does have crossover with living in Zin in that the four main characters from that book make appearances in this one but I don't think that you necessarily need to read that one to know what's happening. I do wish the ending of this was a little bit more drawn out but there is a bonus scene that you can download for free that basically has the epilogue the book should have just added.
